Main Ingredients

  • 1 box white cake mix (about 15.25-16.25 oz.) Can be left uncooked or baked for added flavor.
  • 1 tub Cool Whip (8 oz.) Can be substituted with coconut whipped cream for a dairy-free option.
  • 1 ¼ cups vanilla yogurt Can use low-fat or dairy-free yogurt alternatives.
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract Optional almond extract can also be used for variation.
  • cup red, white and blue sprinkles (plus more for decoration) Substitute with crushed candies or colored sugar if sprinkles are unavailable.

Dippers

  • Vanilla wafers, graham crackers, animal crackers, pretzels, etc. Prepare a variety of dippers for options.

Preparation

  • If desired, bake cake mix on a sheet pan at 350°F for about 5 minutes. Allow to cool.
  • In a medium bowl, add cooled cake mix, Cool Whip, vanilla yogurt, and vanilla extract. Using an electric mixer, beat for about 2-3 minutes, until smooth and creamy.
  • Add the sprinkles and gently fold in.
  • Transfer to a bowl you prefer to serve it in and chill for at least 20 minutes before serving.
  • Add extra sprinkles on top and serve with all of your favorite dippers.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to one week. Stir before serving.
