  • 4 cups water
  • 4 bags black tea
  • 2 cups fresh peaches, sliced Use ripe peaches for best flavor.
  • 1/2 cup sugar Adjust to taste; can substitute with honey or alternatives.

Preparation

  • Boil the water in a pot.
  • Once boiling, remove from heat and add the tea bags. Steep for 5-7 minutes.
  • In a separate pot, combine the sliced peaches and sugar with a cup of water. Cook over medium heat until the peaches are soft and the mixture is syrupy, about 10 minutes.
  • Remove the tea bags and mix the peach syrup into the brewed tea.
  • Chill the mixture in the refrigerator.
  • Serve over ice and garnish with additional peach slices if desired.

Notes

Serve in tall glasses over ice for the best experience. For a twist, consider adding peach schnapps for a cocktail version.
